Document Management
Alfresco is a very well known open source document management solution. It is a browser based solution, and we provide it both from the cloud and as a local installation.
The Solo Package offers:
- cloud based infrastructure
- single user account for 1 or many users
- desktop folder access to documents for simple check-in / check-out
- FTP access for mass upload / download of documents (including folder tree)
- mobile access to documents from iPhone / Android handsets (including offline favourites and email forward direct from the phone handset)
The Professional Package delivers everything from the solo package with additional rich browser based applications boasting some higher level functionality:
- cloud based infrastructure
- rich transformation and process automation / workflow engines and collaboration tools and electronic signoff using task notifications
- search engine like search and intra-document indexing (basically like Google does to websites, you will be able keyword search all documents in your office and within documents)
- project management interfaces including access to wikis, discussions, calendars entries, tying together all aspects of a single project in one place
- enabled document version management and version roll back to previous versions of documents (and the prevention of document deletion if required)
- tagging and classifying new and updated content with keywords, tags, and classifications.
- applying keywords to images which do not contain searchable text (e.g. photos about a job can be searchable with the job itself)
- customised folder access control using roles and user levels (e.g Michael can only view only from this folder, not see this folder at all, edit all from this folder etc)
- custom transformations:
- dynamic resizing of digital camera images when importing (keeps costs trimmed as space reduction is key),
- hot folders to drop Word docs in to convert and email as a PDF automatically
- triggered emails from workflow events
The On Site Package:
- on site infrastructure (on a dedicated server box which is integrated into the client local network) instead of being served over the cloud
- delivers all the functionality from the professional package
- significant increase in performance for local network document access times (inside the office). The trade off is a lower performance for remote and mobile access

Setup fees are to be paid before the system will be installed
Standard monthly fees are payable in advance of usage
All invoices are payable within 7 days of invoice issue date
