Server not found... Really?
Have you experienced "Server not found" when connecting to websites? Do your emails sometimes not connect or does your online backup report errors?
Digital Catalyst spends a lot of its time ensuring its systems are secure, fast, and reliable. Our track record is something we take great pride in.
Lately however we have had an increasing number of reported issues. Panic!!!
After some forensic detective work we found that some users are getting very slow connections or dropouts during peak times, even though our systems are running well.
How is this possible?
It is related to ISP over-congestion.
Our Recommended Solution:
Follow the steps here. We have found this solution works well for us and a few of our customers. Note the changes must be applied to each machine individually.
Note: we recommend this only to people not working within a corporate environment (home and small business users).
