Dear [simplenews-subscriber:user:field_first_name]

We have discussed upgrades before but we thought these points would add value and reasons to consider the move:

Better Security : It is now approaching a year since your current website platform has reached the point called 'End of Life'.  This 'End of Life' phase means the development community is no longer building security patches and feature support, given now the concentration is focused on the latest platform.  What this means is the potential for a security breach (hack) is high, and should this happen we may be unable to recover the site. Even recovering from a backup, we can only restore to the previous state, but the weakness point will still be there and the risk remains. it also means that the modules are no longer available even to download, which parallells say not being able to find parts for an old car.

Mobile Friendliness : Mobile sites look much better on all devices. But did you know mobile friendliness is a factor which also affects search rankings. Not having a mobile friendly website drops your website away in search results. Mobile handsets have been the fastest growth segment for website users. More than 50% of search is now done from a mobile device. Without a mobile friendly site, you are missing out on prospects who would be finding your competition.

Better Performance : The newer platform loads considerably faster. It supports load time optimisation for different devices - (e.g. small devices only need to load small images) and other technological reasons. Faster loading sites are another factor  preferenced by search engines in website rankings.

Browser Experience : As browsers get updated they lose the ability to run older websites. Rarely do you see Flash on websites anymore because most modern browsers block or ignore it. People who still running Windows XP with Internet Explorer 8 (which Microsoft has set to 'End of Life') will not load most modern websites at all. Those sites they do load look wrong or are missing pieces. Technology keeps moving so if you do not move with it, your business will be left behind.

Better Integration : Social networks are a part of everyday life. Nearly half of the people on the planet visit one or several social networks every day. You need to be there to engage them. Integrating your website with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, MailChimp, or CRMs can automate and facilitate your capacity to communicate with customers and prospects via your website.

Business Intelligence : Your website can be 'trained' to become an intelligent staff member. Gone are the days where your website was just a brochure with one way information. Train your website perform automated tasks, manage your business data, build reports, and provide your customers real time information via login.

These are just some of the reasons we believe you should be considering upgrading your site to our latest platform.

If you would like to discuss this with us, we would be happy to talk through your options.
